Kan grew up in a small farming family, always working outside be it gathering crops or otherwise. As a young boy, he always wondered what it would be like to be a swordsman, as they were quite popular. He knew his education was more important, yet for some reason he could not pay attention in school. As he got older, he realized he was getting nowhere in school, and quit. His family was quite disappointed with him, yet he began working on the farm more with his father. When he became 17 years of age, he left the farm in search of something more. All he ever found was oddjobs such as looking for someone who was missing, or helping in the kitchen of a restaurant. He charged little gold for these jobs, just enough for him to get by for a little bit.
When he saw the post for King Bartoloma asking for help, he decided to pick it up, and ask for very much gold.

He is one of the main characters in the Dulled Edge Games games. His first appearance is in Dargaard Episode 1, in which he is the only playable character. His role in Episode 1 seems to be a simple rescuer, but it is implied that at the end his role is, in reality, much bigger.
